STRENGTHENING FAMILIES FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Earlier this spring, our Field Staff began noticing a pattern. Many of the moms we serve were overwhelmed, carrying the daily weight of parenting while navigating their own challenges. At the same time, we were seeing behavioral struggles among several neighborhood children, reminding us that supporting children begins by supporting their parents. From that need, Mama-to-Mama was born.
In June, 12 moms from
I our Evolve program gathered for a three-hour conference
designed to encourage, equip, and strengthen them in one of life's most important roles. Led by Kristin Loyde of K&C Counseling & Consulting, the morning focused on practical parenting tools and Biblical encouragement, including childhood brain development, helping children regulate emotions, creating healthy routines, setting boundaries, limiting screen time, and caring for themselves so they can better care for their families.
Just as important as the teaching was the opportunity for these women to be seen and heard. They shared stories of childhood trauma, discussed the generational patterns they hope to break, and encouraged one another.
One of the conference's most meaningful moments came at the close of the day when a mom volunteered to pray over her neighbors and their families. What a beautiful reminder that God is not only working in individual lives but through them to impact the entire community!
We are grateful to Kristin Loyde, Ashley Powell (Little Linc Director), Jenna Goodman (Family Services Center), and Chef Tyler for making this day possible. Because of you, our faithful supporters, moms are finding hope, practical tools, and the encouragement they need to build stronger families.
