Since 2002, Lincoln Village Ministry has restored historic homes in the Lincoln community to provide safe, affordable housing for families who are working to build a stronger future.

For a family struggling to make ends meet, finding safe and affordable housing can feel out of reach. High rents can consume a large portion of a family's income, leaving little room to save, plan, or move forward.

Lincoln Village Ministry provides another option.

We purchase and restore historic homes in the Lincoln community and offer them to working families at affordable rents. But housing is only the beginning. Through supportive relationships, practical resources, and a community of neighbors, families have the opportunity to experience stability while preparing for what comes next.

From Renovation to Restoration

Historic homes in the Lincoln community have been given new life, creating safe places for families to build their own futures.

Since 2002, Lincoln Village Ministry has purchased and renovated more than 70 homes in the Lincoln Mill area. By restoring these properties, we are not only preserving pieces of our community's history but creating places where families can find stability, build relationships, and pursue a different future.

Dianara’s Story

Dianara and her daughter came to Lincoln looking for something simple but significant: a safe place to live and a chance to build a more independent life.

During their three years as Lincoln residents, Dianara found more than a home. Through relationships with her neighbors and Lincoln staff, she found a community where she could heal, grow, and begin looking toward the future.

She participated in Lincoln’s Matched Savings Program as she worked toward saving for a down payment on her own home. Through Lincoln Village Ministry’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Dianara eventually reached her goal of homeownership.

We are grateful to have walked alongside Dianara as she pursued a new beginning for herself and her daughter.
