Temporary Food Pantry

The Lincoln Village Food Pantry opened on November 10, 2025 in response to the challenges facing our community.

With SNAP (Food Stamps) benefits delayed for the month of November, many of our residents and families experienced food insecurity and felt the stress of how they would provide for their households during this difficult season. We wanted families to know they were not alone in a time filled with fear and uncertainty.

The Pantry was initially created to support families served by LVM, including residents and Little Linc/Lincoln Academy families. Thanks to the overwhelming response from friends and partners like you, the Lord abundantly provided for the pantry, allowing us to extend support to residents' extended families and the broader Lincoln Village community.

As of mid-December, there have been 68 visits to the pantry. Fourteen community volunteers helped with stocking, organizing and distributing food. Sixteen Lincoln staff members also gave their time to serve.

The pantry fulfilled its purpose and more by fostering dignity and connection. Everyone who walked through our doors was greeted with a joyful and loving spirit that we hope uplifted and encouraged them. Volunteers and staff also prayed with each family who visited.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our volunteers, donors, staff and partners. Their quick response and willingness to serve humbled us and strengthened our community in ways we never expected.

The food pantry was always intended as a temporary measure to meet immediate needs. That purpose has been achieved, and the pantry will close on December 18, 2025.
