Is Against "Measure B"
6 April 09

[In reply to a "News and Notes" article about "Measure B" on the 19 May ballot]

This is an example of why I think LVNA is biased.  Make the City pay LVNA for your free advertising
efforts!  The LVNA bulletin should be used to discuss BOTH sides of any ballot measure.  Your
arguments for the new tax, probably just borrowed from the City, are just the same, tired old arguments
we hear about any tax increase. If I have to see "we will have to cut police services" one more time, I will
throw up. The County Utility Tax was probably passed by the BOS long before the law required the
voters' approval. Now they want to tax our cell and computer phones. Don't forget the State sales tax
just went up 1%!  Both these are regressive taxes that hurt the poorest people first. A City income tax
would not be so regressive, even if it were a flat tax. It would also make more sense to charge every
resident of Rancho Cordova something to live here.

No New Taxes - No On B
13 April 09

I do not support any new tax increases for any reason.  We are paying above and beyond what any
person walking on God's beautiful green earth should be paying to aid the Governments' endless
spending!!  Stop making the poor more poor and more dependent on the Government!
